WHY IS BALLROOM AND LATIN DANCING SO GOOD FOR CHILDREN?

Ballroom and Latin dancing is a very technical and highly skilled sport.

It teaches discipline, poise, posture and skill. It is a highly social sport and can be a fantastic way to help with children's mental health and confidence.

Our children's classes here at The County Dance Centre are fun and engaging. We encourage the children to have some input in to the choreography, especially in the Freestyle.

The Rosette and Stardance Class for ages 5 to 8 will follow the IDTA Rosette Syllabus and Stardance Syllabus. Children will be able to take exams at the appropriate levels for their ages and ability.

The older age groups will follow the IDTA Dance Award syllabus and take exams in Social Dance and above.
